About Hiser + Kopits Hiser Architects

I am Helen Kopits Hiser. I’ve been president of Hiser + Kopits Hiser Architects, P.C for more than twenty years. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland.

I’ve been a licensed, practicing architect in Maryland since 1990. I am currently a member of the Board of Directors of the St. Francis Neighborhood Center in the Reservoir Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City and of the Facilities and Maintenance committee of Prospect Hill Cemetery in Towson.

Volunteerism is an important part of my life, and I bring the same level of professionalism, imagination and personal integrity to my volunteer projects as I do to my business, whether it entails providing advice during a nonprofit’s capital campaign or facility renovation, or using recycled materials to create decorations for fundraising events.

Simply put, the philosophy of our firm is one of service, to our clients as well as to the global community.

Bring your house design ideas to life with architectural planning

Start your construction or renovation by consulting with Hiser + Kopits Hiser Architects on-site. The first step we take is to help you explore ideas and determine your priorities and goals, discussing limitations and creative opportunities based on an assessment of the site.

Your home should be everything you want it to be.

After assessing, measuring and photographing the site, our team creates and goes over schematic designs, proposing work phases and discussing changes with you to develop a solution tailored to your lifestyle, aesthetic sense and budget.

Choose someone who listens and works with you to your project’s completion.

After going over the project you have in mind, construction documentation and permits are put in order. We work with you and the contractor, providing you with service continuity all the way through construction to completion.
